Public Shaming for Grafitti Artists

.
The city of Chicago plans to publicly shame graffiti artists convicted of vandalizing property.
Under a program Mayor Daley is expected to unveil today, taggers would be forced to ride with Streets and Sanitation workers to the neighborhoods they defaced.
They'll clear weeds from vacant lots, pick up trash and paint over graffiti -- similar to the convicts who perform community service for the Cook County sheriff, according to Streets and Sanitation Commissioner Michael Picardi.
But Streets and San workers also will videotape convicted graffiti artists when they are doing their clean-up service. More from Sun Times..
