33 Parents Already Fined Under New Curfew Law

The law states that children under the age of 17 may not be out after 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday or after 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Chicago police began implementing the revised policy last week. As of Wednesday, 33 parents whose children were charged with a crime have been fined, Cline said. The fines range from $50 to $500 and are determined by a judge at an administrative hearing. More.....
